Add a memo to an email to jot down some private notes. Maybe the conversation continued on the phone, or you want to add a reminder of something you need to do. Your memos are fully searchable and you can edit or delete them at any time.

Can other people see my memos?
No. Memos are not sent to anyone else in the thread. Only you can see them.

Can I search my memos?
Yes. You can find all messages that have a memo by searching for
has:memo. You can also just search for any words you’ve written in a memo — we’ll find it for you. -
Can I see my memos in my inbox or other message list?
Yes. When a message in the conversation has a memo, this will show before the preview of the message contents in your inbox.

Can I see my memos in other email apps?
Yes. When you use a third-party email app, like Outlook, Thunderbird, or Apple Mail, you’ll see your memos as regular replies in the conversation, with no recipients, stored in a folder called Memos.
